Mason Area Chamber of Commerce encourages shopping locally with “Find the Mason Bulldog!”

MASON, Mich. — The Mason Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting, “Find the Mason Bulldog!” to encourage shopping locally. Twenty-seven plush bulldogs will be hidden in 27 participating businesses in Mason throughout July.

The first stop is the Mason Area Chamber of Commerce where you can pick up a “Find the Mason Bulldog!” passport listing all the businesses where a bulldog can be found. The passport will be stamped by each business where you find a bulldog once.

The participating Mason businesses are:

Belle View Shopping Center Celebrates Reopening

To say that the past 20 months have been tough for the Belle View Shopping Center is an understatement, but all of that is about to change now that the center has fully reopened with a new look.

In October 2019, a devastating 6-alarm fire tore through the east side of the shopping center, damaging 10 businesses and forcing six of them to close indefinitely. Two of those businesses never reopened. Soon after, the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the country, posing additional challenges to businesses struggling to recover from the fire.

In Paris without tourists, LVMH unveils Samaritaine store revamp

PARIS, June 21 (Reuters) – Luxury goods group LVMH (LVMH.PA) unveiled on Monday the revamped La Samaritaine, a 150-year-old department store designed to help it grab a greater slice of tourist spending once pandemic travel curbs are eased.

After a seven-year makeover, the historic store will reopen to the public on June 23 and rival the likes of Galeries Lafayette, housing a hotel, restaurants and shops. Its reopening, originally scheduled for last year, was delayed by the coronavirus emergency.
