Twitter is doubling down on its dive into e-commerce with the launch on Wednesday of its Shop Module, which allows users to purchase items directly from a user’s profile.

The new feature allows brands to add a shopping carousel at the top of their profile, and is currently available only for users with iOS devices, Twitter said.

Twitter is stepping back into the e-commerce business.

The company is testing an online shopping feature that businesses can use to sell their products through an in-app browser.

Up front: Twitter’s “Shop Module” lets companies showcase their products at the top of their profiles. Visitors who have the Shop Module enabled can then tap on items they’re interested in. This will open an in-app browser, where the customer can make a purchase without leaving Twitter.

US online thrift shop Thredup to buy Bulgarian e-commerce co Remix

SOFIA (Bulgaria), July 28 (SeeNews) – US online thrift shop Thredup Inc said it has agreed to acquire Bulgaria’s Remix Global, which operates the online second-hand clothes store Remixshop, for about $28.5 million (24.1 million euro) as part of its push to expand in Europe.

Under the takeover agreement, upon completion of the deal Thredup will also grant the Remix management team $6.5 million in restricted stock units to vest over four years, the US firm said in a press release published earlier this week.
