Ridgefield Thrift Shop – Donors and Donations and Online Auctions
Visitors to the Thrift Shop like to peek in the windows at the back of the store. They watch the volunteers take on the monumental job of sorting, ticketing and racking mountains of clothing and linens.
Unfortunately, a percentage of fabric items have to be refused because of soiling (a hygiene issue) or damage – tears, fraying, etc. (a quality issue.)
The kitchen appliances, lamps and small electronics are plugged in or given fresh batteries to assure they are working.
